Department of Physiology & Biochemistry
“Exploring the Mechanics of Life” This department focuses on the functional aspects of the human body and the chemical processes that govern health.
- Physiology Lab: Students conduct hematology experiments and clinical examinations of various body systems.
- Biochemistry Section: Dedicated to understanding metabolic pathways and chemical analysis of body fluids.
- Key Learning: Understanding ‘Normalcy’ in the human body, which is essential to identify ‘Sickness’ in homeopathic practice.
Department of Organon of Medicine
“The Philosophy of Holistic Healing” This is the heart of Homeopathy. This department teaches the fundamental laws, principles, and philosophy established by the founder, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann.
- Curriculum: Study of the Organon of Medicine and Chronic Diseases.
- Objective: To develop the “Physician’s Mission”—understanding the Vital Force, Miasms, and the holistic approach to treating the patient, not just the disease.
- Focus: Case taking, the art of interrogation, and the evaluation of symptoms.
Department of Homeopathic Pharmacy
“The Art and Science of Potentization” Homeopathic Pharmacy is unique in its method of drug preparation. This department trains students in the identification, collection, and preparation of medicines from natural sources.
- Practical Lab: Students learn the processes of Trituration, Succussion, and the preparation of Mother Tinctures.
- Herbal Garden: An on-campus medicinal garden where students identify plants in their natural habitat.
- Focus: Drug Proving, Pharmacopoeia standards, and Legislation.
Department of Homeopathic Materia Medica (HMM)
“The Study of Remedial Powers” This department focuses on the study of drugs through “Drug Proving” on healthy human beings. It is the encyclopedia of homeopathic medicines.
- Teaching Method: Comparative study of remedies and “Drug Pictures” to help students understand the personality of each medicine.
- Clinical HMM: Applying theoretical knowledge to real-life patient cases in the OPD.
Department of Pathology & Microbiology
“Decoding the Language of Disease” Pathology is the bridge between basic science and clinical medicine. It helps students understand the structural and functional changes caused by disease.
- Clinical Pathology Lab: Modern facilities for blood, urine, and stool analysis.
- Microbiology Section: Study of bacteria, viruses, and fungi, which is vital for understanding infectious diseases and miasmatic backgrounds.
Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology (FMT)
“Medicine in the Service of the Law” This department deals with medical jurisprudence and the legal aspects of medical practice, alongside the study of poisons.
- Museum: Displays an array of charts, models of weapons, and various toxic substances.
- Focus: Medical ethics, legal procedures, post-mortem changes, and the identification of various poisons and their antidotes.
Department of Practice of Medicine
“Comprehensive Clinical Management” This is a core clinical department where students learn to diagnose and manage internal diseases from both a modern and homeopathic perspective.
- Bedside Training: Conducted in the attached hospital, focusing on systemic diseases (Respiratory, Cardiovascular, Digestive, etc.).
- Integrated Approach: Learning how to manage acute and chronic pathologies using homeopathic therapeutics.
Department of Surgery
“Modern Surgery with Homeopathic Support” Students are trained in the fundamentals of general surgery, ENT, and Ophthalmology.
- Objective: To identify “Surgical Conditions” and understand where Homeopathy can act as an auxiliary or primary treatment (especially in post-operative recovery).
- Facilities: Minor OT for hands-on learning of suturing, dressing, and emergency care.
Department of Gynecology & Obstetrics
“Empowering Women’s Health” Dedicated to the study of female reproductive health and the miraculous process of childbirth.
- Clinical Training: Antenatal and postnatal care, management of menstrual disorders, and infertility using homeopathic intervention.
- Scope: Focus on the “Vital Force” during pregnancy and infancy.
Department of Community Medicine:
“Promoting Health Beyond the Hospital” Also known as Social and Preventive Medicine, this department focuses on public health and the prevention of diseases in the community.
- Field Work: Frequent health camps in the rural areas of Dharashiv and Alani.
- Activities: School health check-ups, immunization awareness, and environmental health surveys.
Department of Repertory
“The Art of Individualization” A Repertory is an index to the vast Materia Medica. This department teaches students how to use this tool to find the most accurate (Simillimum) remedy for a patient.
- Computer Lab: Equipped with the latest Homeopathic software (like RadarOpus or Zomeo).
- Focus: Logic of Repertorization, Case Analysis, and Symptom Grading.
